Time to Step Our Prayer Game Up

What to Do When You're Feeling a Little Disconnected from God.

Internal voices contained within our subconscious, and the external voices of society can ring loud and boisterous, causing God’s voice and direction to sometimes become quiet and mute. And quite frankly, in times of real need, that can be quite scary.

To let you in on something, we're in the midst of working on a BIG project, and feel this immense pressure to execute the campaign with perfection (mistake #1, right?! lol). But to be honest, for the past couple of weeks, I feel like I haven't been hearing God's voice. Or, as a nod to the reference in the first paragraph, perhaps my own internal voice, or the voice others are speaking so loudly that it's
taking the place of God’s? And so, I find myself asking, “Where did you go God?! I need help! I need ... you.”

And then, that’s when I realized that it wasn’t Him that left … It was ME.

It was me that didn’t step my prayer game up, even though He had taken me to a new level, in terms of consistently carrying out the plan He has for God Thinks I Am, and our forthcoming campaign (which I'm so excited about, and can't wait to spill the beans SOON!).

So, instead of thinking that the pressure is all on me to think everything through, come up with these brilliant ideas (and subsequently fund them), and execute them, I am now reminded that I am never alone. And I am reminded NEVER to worry about anything. But, to instead ... PRAY about everything.

“Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” - Philippians 4:6-8

It’s fascinating to know that we have this higher power … this higher strength that can help fuel and provide us with strength (and creativity) in our time of need, and it all starts with prayer.

Praying much more is certainly my "new week resolution" for 4/24, and beyond. So, are you with me?!

Remember, we're in this together.

Lots of love,
Alana
