When Women of Faith Link Up
I had the sincere pleasure of connecting with the beautiful and sophisticated Milan Madeline at an event where I was humbly granted the opportunity to execute a small pop-up shop concept, in a room full of visionaries and hopeful business owners, on a rainy but power-filled Saturday morning in Detroit.
'I saved the best for last.' Those were the first words I heard her speak as she approached, and first laid eyes on 'God Thinks I Am.' Taken back by the light of God that shines through the brand, attention to detail, sophistication and our commitment to style, she was immediately attracted to our mission, and the minimalism captured in our pieces.
Through talking and instantly connecting, I quickly realized that Milan marked the essence of everything a 'GTIA Woman' is ... feminine, creative, dainty, driven and fueled by God. Moreover, I learned she was also a wardrobe consultant and stylist, and we immediately began ideating a concept for a forthcoming shoot.
To be frank, from the moment I met her, I was incredibly blown away by Milan's professionalism, passion, and eye for excellence as it pertains to overall aesthetic and forward-thinking vision for a brand's visual representation. I've done various shoots for 'God Thinks I Am,' and each of them, I've carried a heavy load with the execution of model/photographer selection, wardrobe pulls, location scouting, and building out the shoot schedule, among other things. It was a huge weight off my shoulders for Milan to act as the 'thinker and doer' of all of the aforementioned, and to operate in the role as stylist, of which she did so exceptionally well.
With that, I am extremely excited to share with you an exclusive behind the scenes look of the God Thinks I Am SS18 campaign, and a full-display of 'when women of faith link up:' #WatchGodWork
