HOW I WEAR IT: The 'Higher Thoughts' Fitted Cap

Fitted caps have always been a wardrobe staple of mine, as they serve as the most proper response to bad hair days, while also enabling one to be chic, cool and even incognito when desired. What more can you ask for, right?

When God gave me the idea of 'higher thoughts,' as a means to encourage women to think positively, more intelligently, with more wisdom, and to dream beyond our wildest dreams, I knew the first product execution would be that of a fitted cap ... a powerful and stylish headpiece with a bold statement, that would act as a reminder of what a woman's cognitive routine should consist of.

The cap, with a dainty feminine script across the front, can be worn in so many ways, as I've illustrated in the images below -- For a night out on the town, pair it with a black long-sleeved tee, and high-waisted skirt. Meeting up with girlfriends for coffee? Throw on your 'higher thoughts' fitted cap, with a faux fur jacket and studded gloves, or a fitted blazer jacket, with a v-neck top underneath. For date night, the cap pairs well in a non-traditional way, with a black satin dress, cream oversized vintage coat, and heeled booties.

p.s. It's National Hat Day, which means our beloved 'higher thoughts' cap is 15% off today! Shop the wardrobe staple you'll wear over and over again. Here's what our girl Asia S., had to say about her hat:

"I'm obsessed with dad hats, and the 'higher thoughts' cap is literally my everyday go-to now."  Get yours here.

Today, I also encourage you to beautifully dream what some may deem as the impossible, just like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., did when he was alive. As a celebratory homage on his birthday, here's one of my favorite quotes from him:

'I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.'

Celebrating a man today who truly lived a purpose-filled life, and was obedient to the higher call God had for him. Can you imagine what his thoughts were like on a daily basis? I'd be certain they were indeed higher ones :)

Keep dreaming,
Alana
